INC suggests…
What you believe about yourself determines your level of success. If you want to be successful, incorporate the following beliefs into your daily way of thinking:
1. “I am confident.” If you believe in yourself, you tend to see problems and challenges as speed bumps rather than roadblocks, and have certainty that you’ll eventually succeed.
2. “I am committed.” If, in your heart of hearts, you are absolutely determined to succeed, you’ll find that motivation emerges naturally from that commitment.
3. “I am in control.” If you view yourself as the captain of your destiny rather than a pawn of fate, you’ll have the motivation to continue moving forward–even when the going gets a bit rough.
On the other hand, if you want to be a failure, incorporate these three very different beliefs into your daily way of thinking:
1. “Nobody believes in me.” Some people define themselves based upon how they suspect their boss, their co-workers, their relatives and friends see them. Convinced that people think poorly of them, such people suffer from low self-esteem and lack of confidence. If you had a big project that needed handling: Would you trust someone who didn’t even trust himself?
2. “I am probably going to fail.” Some people believe that failure is so unpleasant that it must be avoided at all costs. Because of this, they avoid all situations where failure is a risk. But any meaningful endeavor entails risk–so such people seldom (if ever) accomplish anything significant.
3. “Fate controls destiny, so why try?” Some people believe that their status in life and potential as a human being is determined at birth or by the circumstances of their lives. Believing this allows them to deflect the blame for failures onto things over which they have no control, thereby lessening the pain. But it also g

Interesting morning....didn't go to bed/sleep to about 3am; I was watching various Soul Train clips on youtube. R.I.P. Don Cornelius....I LOVED that show and watched it faithfully. Wow, what a blow. So, watched many, many episodes
Stopped by the location I did a recent craft show at to get the pictures she took of the young ladies who wore my hats purchased by their moms...love it!!! (I took the picture from my laptop, learning more and more about the Microsoft Word program--she sent as an attachment) I took several pics individually of the young ladies myself but I like this one with them together....plus it got me more business along with the ooooh's and ahhhh's.
Oh, as I walked in she stated, "Don't you look cute." Hmmmm, "cute"? puppies are cute; I'm Cute-iful! She didn't notice my long crochet skirt and when she did, she liked. I said, "Girl, I told you I am Crochetlicious!"
~~~~
Mom's hat....Her birthday is the 5th of Feb. She lives in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Cooing--loop krazy over my new direction in stitch--fabric embellishments; can't wait to be more freeformish with it.
PLUS got a new camera and learning new ways to use it!
Mostly a quickie post so don't have a lot to elaborate for now but the pictures are worth 1,000 words, wink!!!
Yesterday's recent facebook profile picture--copied and pasted from my 2nd job's computer....Yup, I have a 2nd job where I CAN HAVE MY ANOINTED/APPOINTED TO STITCH HANDS FREE TO CREATE. Hey, as long as my work gets done or their work, all is well plus I got permission to go HOOK HARD, wink
I thought about this long and hard--how MANY jobs are out there where you can BE in your passion for a few hours a day?! I had to change my attitude around about the "job" (2nd) and see the "good" in it...When I was at the bank yesterday, I remember a remark from a teller, "So, Gina are you working hard or hardly working?" Actually, I didn't have an answer--I do my job to the best of my ability but had such a sour taste about the "job"--intellectually it is so (k)NOT engaging and a lot of undesirables about...Goodness, what type of job is it?! LOL I rather say, they're not up to my professional standards but be that as it may, it is a j-o-b (2nd) and I am surviving in the midst....(as best I can--at least I am (K)not tearing my yarn out, wink)
Regarding my title post, it blew me away to have hit that many views! It hasn't been, unfortunately, updated in a while and hopefully that can be remedied soon but be that as it may--OH HOOK YAY!!!!
Just came from the bank exclaiming among "HI, GINA!" vocals from the tellers, "you want to go where everybody knows your name and are always glad you came"....teehee (theme from Cheers) I don't care whatever mood I am in whenever you go to a place where you are genuinely appreciated, it just makes you glow and then you welcome others (strangers) to share in the moment...But sometimes they are clueless or can't believe someone is happy to BE...someplace...doing a routine thing BUT remember I am going where my name is known and they are always glad I came, hint, hint
I sure like BEing spontaneous and free, happy and glowing...if I know you...That can happen also with social media but nothing takes the place of face-to-face acquaintanceship. But I digress...so what was on my plate as I awoke? Hmmmm, getting use to my new camera, 14mb. It has a tiny sd card but Walmart had one in stock along with the regular size in the package and my daughter has been asking for her own sd card since she found an abandoned camera of mine in the closet, hmmmm, oh well. That's fine because my other camera just quit on me yesterday so it was perfect timing for my new one to arrive, yay!
Picnik is closing down, waaah, on April 19th--I enjoyed their online editing program ... this camera has high resolution so gotta always resize the pics (time-consuming)...I just finished this black evening hat yesterday with sequins....
This reminds me of my birthday glam look! Even had the sequins in my hair....
I think there is red sequin yarn I can buy....hmmmm, Valentine's Day is coming soon...
Peace of Da St!tch,
I'm hooked!
Pop that thread and let's get to meshing! Girl, WHERE HAVE YOUniquely been?! Dealing with my Choleric side of controlling the uncontrollable--L!fe...sheesh, it has been one looooong rollercoaster with the dips, turns and even going backwards, didn't like tasting an imaGINAed stomach upset but realness is realness...I HOPE to be back better than ever but of course, how can you (K)not unless you enjoy repeating lessons/tests but I DO NOT FAIL AT LIFE, may get a lower mark but averaging out I'll be a-OK...Oh Bloggie, Bloggie I MISS CHA!
I got these nails done and they are click clicking away and making a lovely sound but there are typos to that have to be corrected--girl, shorten the nails and get in the flow. Do you even know when I was crocheting with the new nails, they were clicking with the hook, sounded kinda strange but they were getting the j-o-b done; I have since gotten use to them hooking but typing--because AHEM it has been a long time--I'll do better: promise!
My customer got such a kick out of her GinaRenay vest that even though it is CUTE-IFUL and all, I would have to jazz it up for me! I gotta make one for meeeeee too!
I got soooo tickled with her reaction that she ran around showing everyone in the market--you know I LOVE that!!!--supervisor, coworkers, oh yay!
For her wonderful patronage, I decided to gift her a matching hat, alas ran out of yarn--will finish it up today....Wanna see it, here it goes plus loving this new stitch I am using....
I have since made, hmmmm, 3 more hats...Check this one out....
LOVE IT!
Got this as a pattern for $5.00....
